The idea behind what a place of work should look like has changed and restructured tremendously in the past few decades. From the technology we use to the physical space we occupy, the vision of a corporate office and how employees operate within it has shifted with the times.
In the 1990s the workplace witnessed row upon row of beige cubicles characterized by the rise of bulky desktops and corded telephones.
In the 2000s corporations went through a transitional period of remodelled open floor plans with shared desk spaces and sleek, high-definition LED screens.
In the 2010s the workspace catered to breakout lounges, adopting a personalized coffee-shop style work environment with circulated movement and music.
In the 2020s a global pandemic stirred the adoption of the flexible work-from-home model, with society and technology quickly adapting to cater to individualistic needs.
Now in 2026, Dubai is expanding on the open floor concept to integrate the outdoors into everyday productivity: introducing the Work-From-Park initiative. A first-of-its-kind inventive method to drive society into communal, green spaces and equip them with the necessary tools that support productivity and creative goals.

Through a structured public-private partnership model, this initiative aims to stimulate investment and support the development of a sustainable, innovation-driven urban economy.
With the arm of three driving forces behind the advancement and adoption of a new workplace model.
As the urban planner, Dubai Municipality funds and oversees the entire Work-From-Park project. The entity is in charge of transforming public spaces and parks through thoughtfully designed approaches that respond to the needs of all segments of society, reinforcing its vision of a vibrant, sustainable, and pioneering city. The aim of this initiative is to enhance quality of life, drive economic growth, and strengthen Dubai’s position as one of the world’s most future-ready cities.
Group AMANA constructs and develops the technological facilities to make Work-From-Park a reality, using advanced off-site modular construction technology in line with principles of sustainability, flexibility, and speed. Group AMANA then transports and assembles the facilities on-site with high efficiency and within a significantly reduced timeframe. This means that the parks itself will not be disrupted with noisy construction and can continue functioning as usual. This approach minimizes waste, reduces environmental impact, and enhances resource efficiency.
Group AMANA is available across seven countries and has delivered over 1,500 projects in eleven cities across the Middle East, Africa, and Sri Lanka.
The third piece of the innovative puzzle is Letswork, a global workspace platform that allows users to work from the best coworking spaces, cafes, and hotels across the world. As part of the partnership, Letswork will focus on activating and operating the initiative across public parks, including Al Barsha Pond Park from May onwards.
Through the platform, users will gain access to a diverse network of workspaces aside from parks, including hot desks, event spaces, podcast studios, and creative production facilities.
This collaboration with Letswork will also support content creators through the development of dedicated creative workspaces tailored to their needs, preferences, and working styles, strengthening their presence within Dubai’s growing creative economy. In addition, the partnership will introduce educational programmes and collaborative sessions aimed at nurturing creative talent, promoting entrepreneurship, developing skills, and unlocking new opportunities for collaboration.
Together, these three partnerships are set to ensure seamless integration across design, development, and operations, enabling public parks in Dubai to support productivity while strengthening social engagement – changing the landscape of workspaces forever.
